Mathew Courtney

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Originally a Michigan native, Mathew (“Matt”) graduated from Central Michigan University with Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Broadcast & Cinematic Arts. Following graduation, he moved to Minnesota and spent two years working for the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Matt obtained his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. While in Law School, he spent a semester as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hennepin County Probate and Mental Health Division under Judge Phillip Carruthers. He was also the Digital Editor for the Mitchell Hamline Journal of Public Policy and Practice where he enjoyed writing, researching, and editing journal articles about public policy issues.

Matt moved to Florida in 2021 and spent his final year of Law School working in probate, estate planning, and asset protection. This experience fostered a continuing interest in investing, development and growth of businesses, and protecting people’s hard-earned assets.

Mathew is admitted to practice and is in good standing as a member of the bar in Florida.
